[Barring the strange incident with Britta's friends, Steve's actually really excited that he gets to take her on this date. He's been wanting to go out with her for a while now, and thank the Lord he finally got the nerve to ask her out. Kind of. Whatever, they're going on a date, it counts.

Anyway, he's definitely waiting outside her class when it's scheduled to be over. Or, at least, what he thinks is her class.]

comments

Steve whistles as he walks down the hall of SHIELD, on his way to the gym. He doesn't mind the building as much as everyone else seems to, and while he used to have his own apartment, he didn't really like the way he had to find his way back into the city every time it was attacked.

Which was a lot.

And the traffic was always awful, so it just made sense for him to move back into HQ with Natasha and Clint.

He's on his way to spar with Natasha when it happens. He sees Loki in one of the holding rooms on the security screens, and his brow furrows. Why is Loki here? He knows that his powers are gone-- something to do with Odin and some kind of punishment for something, whatever, Steve doesn't know much about Norse mythology-- but he figured that they'd let Loki go, at least. They shouldn't still be holding him, and he definitely shouldn't be in chains.

He makes a split second decision-- he's famous for those, right?-- and knocks on the door, not waiting for Loki's permission to enter.

comments
